Why Challenge Big Tobacco
How to Challenge Big Tobacco

For more than a decade, we have mobilized critical support for the global tobacco treaty, the world’s first public health and corporate accountability treaty. More than 160 countries have now ratified as we continue our work to prevent Big Tobacco from interfering in its lifesaving measures.

Despite a growing number of initiatives to protect people from the deadly effects of tobacco, Big Tobacco continues to prevent necessary national reform, oppose the global tobacco treaty and aggressively lobby against legislation aimed at stopping tobacco smuggling. Help us reduce the influence of this deadly industry.

The Network for Accountability of Tobacco Transnationals (NATT), founded by Corporate Accountability International in 1999, includes organizations in 50 countries campaigning to protect the global tobacco treaty from tobacco industry interference.

Corporate Accountability International and the Network for Accountability of Tobacco Transnationals (NATT) organize actions around the world to expose and challenge Big Tobacco’s tactics and call on governments to implement and enforce the global tobacco treaty.
