Think Outside the Bottle: Challenge Public Spending on Bottled Water

There is a growing movement of cities, states and members of Congress opting for the tap over bottled water. To date over 100 cities, 5 states, including Vermont, New York, Connecticut, Colorado and Illinois, and 16 members of Congress have cut spending on bottled water!

Our nation’s public officials are at the forefront, making critical decisions about who controls our water and how we spend our city and county resources, many times in the face of aggressive industry lobbying. When local, state and national governments spend taxpayer money on bottled water it sends the absolute wrong message about the quality and value of our public water systems. Together we are building a movement of public officials who are Thinking Outside the Bottle!

Whether you are an activist who wants to challenge your city's spending on bottled water or you are a public official who wants to change your policies and use of bottled water, you can make a difference!
