Leah Margulies

Margulies was a founding member of Corporate Accountability International (then Infact) and the Nestlé Boycott. She helped develop the former Environment Unit at the United Nations Centre on Transnational Corporations and worked with Corporate Accountability International to advance the organization’s role in the development of the global tobacco treaty. She brings her programmatic and fundraising expertise to the board as well as her skills in strategic development and public policy advocacy. Margulies was an early innovator in corporate social responsibility and keeps the organization grounded in its original goal: to build a grassroots movement to challenge corporate power. She has previously served as a board member and the Board Chair. As a lawyer, Margulies is also the Project Director for LawHelpNy.org, an online resource for low-income New Yorkers who need legal assistance. Margulies has been involved with the organization since 1977.
