Global Tobacco Treaty Action Guide International Week of Resistance to Tobacco Transnationals (IWR) 2005
We created the Global Tobacco Treaty Action Guide: Protecting National Health Policies from International Tobacco Industry Interference to help public health advocates, non-governmental organizations, government officials and concerned citizens stop the tobacco industry's attempts to use its money and influence to undermine ratification and implementation of the global tobacco treaty. With more than 75 countries having ratified the global tobacco treaty, the movement challenging the tobacco industry's interference in health policy is strong and growing. As we continue to push for the ratification and implementation of the global tobacco treaty around the world, we will continue to challenge the tobacco industry's interference in public policymaking by organizing our 7th International Week of Resistance to Tobacco Transnationals.
