Removing the world’s largest polluters from climate policy

More people than ever before are experiencing the undeniable effects of climate change. And they are demanding real solutions like never before.

The good news: policymakers and elected officials are hearing the call. The very bad news: The world’s largest polluters are pulling out all the stops to be able to keep on polluting. In fact the unchecked influence of the fossil fuel industry has severely crippled the most important climate policymaking forum.

And that’s why Corporate Accountability International has developed a bold, ambitious plan to remove the world’s largest polluters from climate policy. Learn More

BOSTON--Multiple news outlets are now reporting that Donald Trump plans to announce the U.S.’s withdrawal from the Paris Agreement at 3pm EST today. Such an announcement would undoubtedly have far-reaching ramifications. But, perhaps most importantly, the announcement does not mean the U.S. will no longer be involved at the UNFCCC. In fact, it would all but ensure the U.S. will continue to undermine and block progress for the next four years.
President Trump announced Thursday that he is withdrawing the United States from the Paris climate agreement, signed by nearly 200 nations to limit the global average temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to pull his country out of the Paris Agreement on climate change will not derail action to curb one of the most serious problems facing the planet, political leaders, scientists, activists and other experts vowed on Thursday.
