Think Outside the Bottle

The Think Outside the Bottle campaign promotes, protects and ensures public funding for our public water systems and challenges the misleading marketing of the bottled-water industry.

With public officials, faith groups, restaurants, celebrities, campuses and individuals, we work to support public systems by opting for tap over bottled water.

We are asking people like you to Think Outside the Bottle by pledging to opt for tap over bottled water. Learn More

What's New
Annie Leonard
I love this time of year. School’s out, summer’s in, and millions of people across the United States will reconnect with the wonder and majesty of our national parks.
Corporate Accountability International
This year, colleges across the country are making history by holding bottled-water-free graduation ceremonies. It's the latest milestone in Corporate Accountability International's work to halt the harmful agenda of global water corporations bent on transforming our most essential human right into a commodity sold for profit.
This graduation season, colleges and universities across the country, from Washington to Rhode Island, will join a growing number of schools to celebrate commencement without bottled water. The move comes in response to growing public awareness about the eco-unfriendly product and at the urging of student groups, the national Think Outside the Bottle campaign, as well as institution-specific sustainability efforts.
